Chez Kyocera, le tambour est fixe (et interchangeable) et la cartouche contient uniquement de l'encre, d'où un recyclage facile et un coût d'utilisation bas. L'imprimante P2040DN est compatible avec Apple AIrprint, donc elle ne nécessite aucun driver sous Mac OS X et Linux, les deux sytèmes que j'utilise. L'interface Web est intuitive et permet de faire des réglages fins (bien que l'imprimante soit totalement plug and play). On appréciera aussi la mise en veille immédiate. Par contre, il est à noter que l'affichage LCD de l'imprimante est un peu petit. Par ailleurs, les plastiques utilisés pour l'imprimante ne semblent pas aussi résistants que dans d'autres gammes. Enfin, j'ai eu quelques difficultés à installer la cartouche, n'ayant pas compris qu'il fallait la basculer. La documentation n'est pas très claire, j'ai donc visualisé un tuto sur Youtube. Lors de la première mise en route, l'imprimante charge le toner dans l'imprimante, ce qui dure 10 minutes, mais c'est normal et il faut patienter (ou alors acheter une imprimante plus chère à tambour jetable et polluante). Pour résumer, il s'agit d'un très bonne imprimante ... mais conçue pour environ 100.000 copies (avant de changer le tambour), ce qui conviendra aux principaux usages personnels. Pour un usage professionnel visant 300.000 à 500.000 copies, se tourner vers une autre solution. Je signale par ailleurs que j'ai acheté cette imprimante chez desertcartWarehouse et comme toujours, mon achat m'est parvenu en parfait état.
