I used cotton balls drenched in varnish remover usually containing acetone which i hate the smell of, and i would get cotton wool stuck to my fingers at times too which was annoying. Then i spotted these varnish remover pads and decided to try them. Total game changer! For the price I didn't have particularly high hopes, especially considering that they're really thin, but they worked really well. I tried them with regular polish and they removed that really quickly and easily. So I tried them on my Rimmel Super Gel polish. This isn't a traditional gel polish as it doesn't require UV to cure it and there's no need to soak off. However it is gel like in appearance and a little thicker than regular polish. I had on one coat of colour and one top coat and as you can see from the video these pads did remove it. I had to scrub a little on my thumbs for some reason but they removed the polish on the rest of my fingernails with ease, so I was pleasantly surprised. I used one pad per hand to remove all the polish. They have a lovely fruity fragrance to them, and they're acetone free so they don't sting if I have a minor cut on my finger. They're quite oily but I assume that is to help condition the nails as the pads remove the polish as they are labelled as conditioning pads. I'm not a big fan of oily textures so I just washed my hands afterwards. Overall I'm very impressed with them considering how cheap they were and I'll keep some of these to hand from now on.
