Review: Brilliant and classic watch. - Brilliant watch and love the blue dial. The indiglo feature is great in low light and the watch is robust and fits on my 6.75 inch wrist perfectly. The second hand does not line up 100% with the markers but for the price this isn't a deal breaker. I changed the strap but only as a style choice...the strap supplied is good but I wanted leather not fabric. Overall great value for a classic military looking watch.
Review: Recommend if you want a reasonably inexpensive reliable watch. - Good reliable watch, had several and only ever needed to replace because of accidental damage or lost. Easy to read with good nighttime illumination. Nothing to complain about.

**Q: Is it loud?**
A: I can hear our living room clock 15 feet away, now that’s loud…which, by the way, totally drowns out whatever noise my Timex might be making 6” away in my wrist.

**Q: How does this watch stand up to outdoor use?**
A: I purchased this Timex Expedition here on Amazon the summer of 2015. I wore it daily as I worked my land. It took a licking and just broke after almost 8 years. Before this other watches would only last a year. I'm back to buy another Expedition.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

**Q: Good first watch for a teenager? For a present will it fit small wrists?**
A: Check the band, most Expeditions have holes nearly all around, & so should fit even a slim-wristed teen just fine. You can trim off the excess for now, & get a new band if you outgrow this.

**Q: How do you change the date? There doesn't appear to be a middle setting and going around a 24 hour cycle doesn't do it either.**
A: You have to go forward with the time setting, 24 hours for each day. I just reset mine this weekend to the correct date.

Really like this watch. Comfortable to wear, really clear to read, even at night with the back light! Unfortunately, the back light failed to work after a few months. Watch returned under warranty for full refund. It's a real shame that this appears to be a common complaint with the watch, as this is one of the most important features for me. Come on TIMEX, get it sorted!
