Review: Best silver paint! - These are the most Chrome-like paint I have ever found and I have tried MANY types of silver or chrome paint over the years. Usually silver paint is more like pearlescent grey, but this actually has a mirror like finish. I'm an artist and I draw on my paintings with this and it almost looks like silver leaf. I'm on here leaving a review because im about to buy some more!
Review: SHINES LIKE REAL CHROME! Finish with a clear coat - MOLOTOW knows what they’re doing! My primary use is to chrome the detailed trim on 1/25 & 1/25 scale mode cars, for which the multiple sizes are PERFECT. It’s silver upon application, you can ACTIVELY SEE the chemical process at work if you watch after applying, noting a swirling effect as is dries going from a textured silver fluid to a dry chrome surface that shines like real chrome! Be careful to not touch the finished surface as it will smudge even weeks after applying. Clear coating it a day after applying will prevent this tho it will also dull the shine just a bit. Several manufacturers have attempted to mimic the result that come with using MOLOTOW, but none that are of similar formulas come close in finish or usability..

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it work on chrome surfaces? I have a company name that slightly etched in chrome and want to cover it up with this pen, will that work?**
A: Yes. So long as the application surface is smooth it should work

**Q: Do these markers have an odor?**
A: I do not remember an odor and I am sensitive to strong odors from paints and markers.

**Q: Can you apply 2 coats of this liquid chrome if 1 coat did not cover properly?**
A: Yes you can apply 2 coats, try to let the 1st dry well like 6 or more hours, and be a little careful to not overwork the piece because it may get soft. I usually apply the liquid chrome a little heavy since when it dries its height reduces.
I like to make a little puddle on a piece of wax paper, or other non-permeable paper, and use it to dip from since the pen dispenses better that way.

**Q: I know it says permanent, but will anything you've tried take it off a solid surface?**
A: Yes, just about anything will take this finish off. Even your finger. This paint looks great when applied, but anything touching it within two weeks of curing will ruin the finish. Simple alcohol or thinner will take this off easily.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Using to retire a 1969 Chevelle
*by C***N on January 24, 2026*

Doing a resto on a 1969 Chevelle. Got these pins to do the detail work on the dash and front fender. They work perfect. THe paint goes on a perfect color and really smoothly and consistent. Very happy with this purchase.
