It was the flat probe. But seeing as they are impossible to get and have pretty much doubled in price since my original purchase, I opted for the standard probe here. This I was also lucky to buy for £28 before the recent £10 increase. Which if I remember rightly was also about £8 more than the probes were when I first bought the meter. However, to increase accuracy, you can calibrate again, but it's not a must. **Q: Does the replacement probe come with the plastic cap for storage?** A: Dear customer, yes, the replacement probe comes with the plastic cap. Best regards The Apera Instruments Team **Q: Is the probe supposed to be stored in kcl solution when not is use? if not, how is it best stored? thanks.** A: The pH probe must always be kept moist. When the electrode is not in use, the pH probe should be kept in a 3 mol/l KCl solution. If the pH probe dries out, performance and response are impaired.
