That's what I did with it. I measured windows inside the van, cut the material out about 1/2-3/4" larger than the window size, top and bottom, then just push it into the window and smooth it into shape in the area. Trimmed little bits until it fits snugly. Then I wrote on each piece with marker pen to denote which window it goes in. You can easily take them out for driving, and then put them back when you are storing or parking in the sun. It covered the two back door and two side door and two overhead windows in overcab area. Would need larger size if you have more windows. **Q: I want to make custom fit side window covers for may car. Do the edges need to be sealed/wrapped with tape to keep from ripping/fraying/etc?** A: I would say that is not necessary. The material is stromg and does not tear easily. However, I made tabs from blue 3M masking tape to make it easier to remove the Reflectix window cover from the windows. If you should happen to cut your cover a bit small making a tape edging solves that problem. Check out YouTube for some good ideas on using Reflectix for window coverings...lots of good pointers. **Q: would this be good for a well house insulator? if not what would b good ?** A: We used this foil in our well house and it worked extremely well. We put the foil on all sides and the ceiling. We also have a small electric heater plugged into a freeze sensor set at 40* and we have never had any problems. We made the entire house air tight as far as possible. **Q: Would this work as skirting under my trailer camper?** A: This is what we used to skirt our skoolie last winter and it worked great. Just make sure to buy high quality all weather HVAC tape to attach it. It seriously rocks! *by C***E on February 18, 2023* I never use the foregoing expression, but I will make an exception for this stuff. There is eight feet of it up in my bedroom window as I write this, to keep the sun out of my face in the morning, and to reflect the often brutal summertime heat back to the sun. I have insulated attics, roofs, and hot water pipes with this stuff, and it makes a good water heater blanket, though it's even better taped around a conventional fiberglas shroud, in my experience, sealing up the pipes and anchoring the bottom with both narrow strips of Reflectix and aluminum tape. In fact, one can, with a little extra artistic flourish, make one's water heater look like a robot. It's also good for blocking and grounding electromagnetic fields--that much I know. It might even be of some use in constructing a Faraday cage, but I can't say for sure (I don't work for Raytheon, the Ryan Lab, or "The PG and the E", unless I do it in my sleep and they keep the paycheck). --I hope the manufacturer of this product has a commitment to refine the ingredients, as more sustainable plastics and glues become available, and to support environmentally sustainable aluminum mining. The poor Earth is going to hell in a handbasket, and both practical wisdom and the book of Genesis make it clear we are to care for the world around us, whether we view it as God's Creation or simply our home.
