Vibrant colors, large switch for little hands and easy to turn on/off. We haven’t broken one yet, so I would say they are pretty durable. They work on the floor or with all of the Thomas tracks.

They get tossed around, left running in a pile up on the tracks, or sent under the couch to run for hours. All still run great. They have amazing traction and go across my flooring and carpet easily. My boys each got 2 trains in their stockings fo4 Christmas. I thoifht I purchased all motorized trackmastera but ruens out.Salty was the only one capable to.driving himself along the track lol. That being said, he was a great value, abd an interesting unique character new to my kiddos large collection. I csny really speak.yo the battery life as we've played with it for 2 days of so thus far, but it's fun, able to pull other non motorized trains and accessory cars, with vivid details like the hazard front bumper and wooden/hay logs he carries.
