It’s similar to cutting thick cardboard on each side and blue stuff in the middle is very soft. I used a new Stanley knife and it worked just fine. I didn’t plaster onto it, as I was tiling, but would imagine that it is good for plastering. ## Frequently Bought Together - Tile Backer Board 6MM / 10MM / 12MM - Floor OR Wall Rigid Hard Insulation UNDERFLOOR Heating Cement Tile Backer Board 1200MM X 600MM (6MM Pack of 5 Boards) - 220 Pieces Easy Fix Washers, 35mm Diameter Galvanised Steel Fixing Washers for Insulation Thermoboard Backer Boards (220) - Nassboards Waterproof Tanking Tape - Aqua Elastic Self Adhesive Butyl Joining Permanent Strong Sealing Tape for Waterproofing Bathrooms, Shower Wet Rooms, Use Outdoors Indoors Preventing Leaks (20m) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/518854561-tile-backer-board-6mm-10mm-12mm-floor-or-wall-rigid](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/518854561-tile-backer-board-6mm-10mm-12mm-floor-or-wall-rigid) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
