I also have rather large hips and backside, so ordering based on bra size can be frustrating because my lower half is 1-2 dress sizes larger than my upper half. I had previously tried the Rago "wear your own bra" type girdle and was not successful in finding a size in that that fit, so I braved this one. I took a chance and ordered the largest size. Following the "sister size" theory, it should approximately fit me, but unfortunately that was not the case. I wear around a size 22-24 US in women's jeans, but this was just too small. I tried pulling it on over my head, and couldn't get it past my shoulders. Based on the size of the top opening, I didn't even try to pull it on over my hips, because it didn't look like it would fit. I gave it to a friend who is a little smaller than me, around a 16-18, and it fits them great, though a little big in the cups as they're smaller in the bust than I am. It looks fantastic on my friend and really snatches and smooths, but based on how off the sizing is, I have no idea how to recommend others select a size in this. I've seen other reviews say to size up, but I wasn't expecting to have to size up that much and still not have it fit. It looks really good and works very well if you can figure out your size, but that can be difficult with this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐ The material is not thick as it use to be in past. I contacted the seller and got great customer service. The fabric was see through..and I didn't feel it would have good firm hold like I need. It did run small...so don't order a smaller size thinking it will hold you in better because you won't be able to get yourself into it. After purchasing many body shapers and girdles I can say this is classified as average or light hold. If you don't need a miracle like me...just some light support and smoothing....this garment will work perfect for you! I actually ended up with a company that sells heavy duty compression body shapers for the medical community. They are not only for shaping the body after weight loss...but also for after surgery procedures like tummy tucks and liposuction.
