Ok like most these days made in china but what isn’t anyway , it’s as smooth as you would expect from the fox stable nice feel to it good line lay etcGood for money

Very well made products, have a few fox items. Need to upgrade to bigger reels like fox 12000 for bigger waters. The 7000 range are perfect for small waters where you don't have to cast too far.

Aesthetically nice, finish and manufacture are of a high order. Balance, weight and feel in the hand and in use are good. Smooth action, beautiful line lay, casts nicely as you would expect. I actually bought this for salmon lure and bait fishing but have just given it a run out on mackerel. The reel was so smooth in use i forgot it was a new reel, it feels like an extension of your arm. Really pleased therefore on initial impression and first use, will update in a couple of months. At this price point (£67) i am pleased and i would count this very fair value.
