The slide out tray is incredibly useful for taking the washing out of the dryer. The kit itself is easy to install, washing machine goes at the bottom, tray then dryer. The stacking kit comes with some rubber anti vibration pads which need to go in the top and bottom of the plastic tray. This then goes on top if the washing machine. Once lined up, the dryer needs to be lifted on top of the washing machine and all lined up so it's neat with the tray and washing machine. As the dryer can be quite heavy, I'd suggest 2 people lift the dryer in place. Once both machines ate in place, there is a ratchet strap which goes around the whole stack. I'd suggest laying the strap under the washer before putting the dryer on top. The strap can be pulled very tight to ensure the kit stays together and vibration is minimised. Once all done, slide the stack into place. We have lvt flooring so wiped a wet rag over the area to allow the stack to slide more easily. I'd suggest if possible leave a little space either side as I found the metal piece on the ratchet strap would tend to knock on the side of its cubby making a bit of noise. This was fixed by sliding it over slightly and putting a felt pad on the metal piece. There is minimal vibrations thanks to the rubber pads and the weight of the stack. This means it hasn't moved by more than a few mil in 6 months. The kit is very neat and due to its size doesn't impose on the aesthetic. I was concerned the tray wouldn't be up to holding the weight of a full basket of wet clothes but it is more than up to the job. The performance offered from this kit gives great value for money and makes washing so much more convenient. Fitted my machines really well even though they are two different makes and apart from a slight confusion in the diagram about where the plastic blocks went, it was really easy to install. I didn't realise it came with a strap to hold the two machines together as I brought a separate one so really great value for me. Not sure about the pull out shelf being massively helpful but a nice feature. There's a lip all the way round where the machines slot in. If they aren't matched in size I wouldn't stack them. You need to have the whole thing really safely balanced or it will topple. **Q: Is it still safe not to use the wall mounting strip? the wall in the laundry room is not make of brick ie not sturdy** A: When my plumber installed this for me he didn’t fix it to the wall but used a strong white band around both the washing machine & tumble dryer. I do not know if the band is included in the box. So far, really sturdy and my concern over the dryer falling has gone! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great item, lousy strap! *by M***R on 1 July 2024* Apologies for the boring photos, we don't have a gorgeous utility room. I ummed and ahhed about whether to go for straight or rounded / shelf or no shelf. I opted for straight with a shelf. It was easy to install and fits well. I think the rounded one would have been ok but inwas concerned about an overhang. I think I will be glad we opted for the shelf as it will make loading and unloading the tumble dryer easier. As for sturdiness, well, the strap provided was utterly useless. We just couldn't tighten it, it was so loose. We ended up using a proper ratchet strap and now it doesn't move. This is why I gave it 4 stars as it has cost us more than it should have.
