EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
First this product works perfectly as intended and provided the solution I needed for a reasonable cost. The best part of this buying experience was customer service. Apparently the electrician who originally installed the lift did not worry about wiring instructions. I called the phone number on the manual and was almost immediately connected to Brian in service who talked me through the next steps to try. After the first steps did not solve our mystery I called back and once again was immediately connected back to Brian who walked me through taking a few pictures and e-mailing they to him. After he took a look at the pictures he sketched me up a solution that sorted out the wiring mystery and sent it back to me.So nice to have a responsive and knowledgeable customer service group that quickly responded to our questions.

Great deal on a quality boat lift switch!
Access holes were a bit small, but installation was easy once I found the labels for the wires inside the access cover of my motor. This is just about the only switch on Amazon that will work with the 4-6 wire motors most boat lifts have. Works just as well as the Gem on my main lift at less than half the cost. Light switch is easy to wire with the neutral and switch lead. Now I have a remote activated light for safety at dusk. Additional remotes are unusually cheap and easy to get from their website. I just wish you could program them without opening the chassis. Highly recommended!!!

Works as expected, but needed a bit of tweaking
This works well, but I had a few little bugs that I resolved, and a feature request... Once I figured out how to wire it to my motor (manual is very good with many different motors listed with their wiring diagrams) I connected the motor wiring leads as described. There is an option to have a switched output on my model so I wired up a single receptacle - the cut-off end of an extension cord and used the plug end to get the line power to the unit. (My one complaint to this is that there are only two cable grommets but I somehow manage to smash both of these cables in to one grommet with the motor lead in the other - I would like to have had a third grommet for this reason) Once installed I tested with the panel mounted switch, only to discover that it was operating in reverse direction - in other words, pushing the switch up caused the lift to go down. In order to fix this I had to reverse the yellow and green leads on the switch by re-soldering (see photo - not so easily done once the unit is mounted on the boat dock) Next came time to try the wireless remote. The manual states that the remote antenna is not required for close range, so I was trying to programme the remote without the antenna lead attached, however, it didn't work. Attaching the lead did allow me to change the functionality of the wireless remote to press and hold vs. press to start (in either direction) and press again to stop. So now with both of the cable grommets occupied I had to file a little half-round notch in the box to allow the antenna cable to come out of the bottom of the enclosure. It all works very well now and I can even switch the light switch remotely from the house which is a good distance away from the dock. The only other thing I would do is to put a key switch in place of the toggle so that one would be able to keep others from operating the lift without a key... (dinged one star for the small inconveniences but otherwise it's great!)

Easy Conversion Boat Dock Lift Control - Excellent Support
Old mechanical switch was cracked. This connected in its place with no issues. I did contact support by phone and got to speak to person here in USA about color wire change on my motor. Solved with one call. Great to have remote function as I come onto cradle.

Good Price but bad design
The controller was difficult to install to meet electrical code. The holes for wiring are too small to accept a 1/2" conduit fitting and are in a location that makes them difficult to drill out without damaging the epoxy bed for the electronics. luckily the antennae works with it inside the box because it would be difficult to get the wire out of the box. The box is small but manageable. The manual toggle switch is mounted on the cover so the cover hangs on 22ga wires when you take it off to wire the unit or program the remote - a really bad design. The toggle switch came wired up-side down, the remote works in the correct direction but the toggle is opposite. The unit seems to work well and the programing was easy once I finally got it installed.
