Her school made the tough choice to cut art classes, which means she?s lost her favorite subject. So when Mimi decides to organize a "save the arts" fundraiser and parade to benefit the school, Saige jumps on board. She begins training Mimi's beautiful horse, Picasso, for his appearance in the parade. Then Mimi is injured in an accident, and Saige wonders what she can do to help. Can she ride Picasso in the parade and make her grandma proud? Can she still raise money to protect the arts at school? Review: Highly recommend to children. - American Girl are the good source, education books for all children. They learn so many things in the book. After you read this book, don't miss other American Girl books. They have Julie set, Molly, Samantha, Emily, etc....... They are all interest, and good to read all. Review: Quality literature for girls - This is a lovely book and demonstrates that fine literature for young people does not have to be "edgy," in the sense of including sex, drugs, crime, abuse etc. Saige and her family do have problems but they are the kind of problems that functional families have, such as her grandmother becoming seriously injured and her school art program being cut from the education budget. The story is engaging and well written, and the illustrations are terrific. I highly recommend this book for all girls from ages 8 on up into their tweens. ## Features - AMERICAN GIRL ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #949,907 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #732 in Children's Horse Books (Books) #2,996 in Children's Books on Girls' & Women's Issues | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 304 Reviews | ## Images ![Saige (American Girl Today, 1) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71wzlAzTJTL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend to children. *by S***M on February 22, 2013* American Girl are the good source, education books for all children. The girls even look alike! What fun it is to read about places that she knows firsthand! Couldn't be more perfect and I am hoping to inspire her love of reading! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/5235376-saige-american-girl-today-1](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/5235376-saige-american-girl-today-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
