fascinating account of travel around the world
I thoroughly enjoyed this account of the authors travels around the world, flowing the tropic of cancer.Whether travelling across Africa from Namibia to Mozambique, across Australia or South America from Chile to Brazil, Simon Reeve is always fascinating in recounting his travels and experiences. Describing out the people he met, the beauty he saw, as well as his concerns about damage to the environment and indigenous peoples caused by our ever expending demand for resources the author is clear and candid. This all makes for fascinating and often though provoking reading

Excellent
We really get involved in the injustice that Simon finds. We are so grateful for his enthusiasm! I thoroughly enjoyed this trying beautiful journey and wish he would write books about the other trips he has made.

A good read
Although Simon Reeves is not quite as good an author as he is a presenter, the stories in this book are sufficiently enjoyable to provide a relaxing read, and to provide a chance to expand one's horizons.
