I purchased it to do voice overs for online tutorials and it does very well eliminating ambient noise as i am recording. The one improvement that would have let me five-star it would be to have a better mount by having a set screw. When I grab the boom to adjust it, it will pop out of the base. I did "flare" the bottom of the boom before sliding it into the base and this has seemed to help it stay better.
