**Q: Is the top hinged to open at 90 degrees or does it open up flat**
A: Flat

**Q: Where is this made?**
A: Doesn’t matter.     Bad ass real steel box for the price.   I’ve carried all my 20v max batteries for a year now     Super durable great res color.   Buy it.

**Q: What is the metal thickness?**
A: It’s light gauge but not rickity

**Q: They're very skimpy on photos.  Is there any weather seal around the opening?**
A: If you look at a different model of PROTO tool box on Amazon, you'll find a picture or two with an open lid.  You'll see that there isn't any weather gasket or seal.  That said, this is a high quality US made tool box with a tight sealing lid.
