We recommend that you change 25-50% of the water min. twice a week during the first 4 weeks after establishing the aquarium. How do I calculate the quantity of Soil or Soil Powder needed for my tank?Measure your tank’s length and width in cm, for example 90 x 60 cm.Consider the thickness of the bottom layer you want, e.g. 8 cm. Make the layer thicker towards the rear wall for a great visual effect! The calculation to do is length x width x layer divided by 1000.In our example, 90 x 60 x 8/1000 = 43,2 L Soil/Soil Powder needed Safety Warning Keep out of reach of children. Of course it can go cloudy / dirty when you're flooding the tank. It takes time to settle and a good filter goes a long way. I've used this on three tanks so far, and I'm finding myself trimming the plants constantly to keep up with them. I have excellent water quality and healthy fish. Who would have known that water to soil would make the water cloudy for a while!? Expensive but it's good, just keep an eye out for ammonia when first setting up, and make sure you keep up with your water changes. Review: Expensive but great product - Such a great soil for planting aquariums. Plants respond well to it. Just look around for the best price. ## Features - A complete, active and self-sufficient base coat. - Its fine grain makes it a base layer suitable for foreground plants. - Ensures good growth and stimulates colour development. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00ZFXAZXE | | Best Sellers Rank | 130,588 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) 1,159 in Aquarium Water Treatments | | Brand | Tropica | | Brand Name | Tropica | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 418 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05703249713001 | | Item Weight | 8.73 Kilograms | | Item weight | 8.73 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Aquarium Fan | | Model Number | 713 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Style | Modern | | Style Name | Modern | | Unit Count | 9000 millilitre | | Unit count | 9000 millilitre | | Volume | 9 Litres | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Tropica - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 05703249713001 - **Item weight:** 8.73 Kilograms - **Number of Packs:** 1 - **Style:** Modern ## Images ![Tropica Aquarium Soil Powder,9 l - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ofqK-5uIL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Aquarium Soil *by J***N on 30 May 2023* I'm not sure what the one star review people are doing or thinking.
