The best way to 'cheat' at running with the Nike+ pods.

*by R***H on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 24, 2013*

It's the best I've tried, so far.So you don't like the Nike+ compatible shoes. You have 'foot issues', or have a very protective podiatrist and have felt cheated at not being able to use the Nike+ system to log your runs. NO MORE! Slip a pod into this and wrap this around your shoe laces (either shoe) and you are off to the races, so to speak. The important part of using this and other 'cheater' straps is to put the pod in the strap so that it ends up with the Nike label facing UP towards the ceiling. The antenna is apparently on the top of the pod, and it's not powerful enough to be picked up if you put the pod in upside down, which I gather is a very common complaint about these straps "It doesn't work"...You would find it hard to insert the pod upside down in this strap due to the stretchy netting and the way that it's sewn.So insert, put under the laces (easier before putting the shoe on your foot), partner the pod (if needed), and go running, and feel like a lab rat waiting for the feedback from the Nike+ website.Oh, what makes this strap better than some of the others? Good question. I had one that was 'close' to this one. I bought it after I lost my original Nathan pocket. The distance allowed between the folds of the strap that fit under your laces was very short. Too short at times as the strap would actually become partially, or fully un-velcroed by the time the run was over, apparently due to the way the shoe changes over time during a run. This (Nathan) strap is long enough that you might be tempted to loop it under three crosses of shoe laces, but I've found that two is plenty to provide enough to keep the pocket attached, and it's not at all sloppy and banging around on top of my foot. There is also a Marware strap/pocket that looks promising too. The biggest difference is that this one has reflective material in the label on the top side of the strap, and the Marware does not.

    Easy Solution for Nike+ Sensor

*by K***L on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 14, 2013*

I have always used Nike+ to track my runs, and have always worn Nike + shoes where the sensor fits into the sole of the shoe. I recently had a running assessment and found that shoes other than Nike are more ideal for my running. One of the major reasons that I had chosen Nike shoes was to use the Nike+ sensor and track my runs online. The Nathan sensor is a great solution. The Nike sensor fits into it easily and attached to my shoe laces easily. (There is a good tip by another reviewer to put in the sensor face down, so that when you attach it to your shoe it is right side up for accurate tracking.) It has also been consistent in terms of tracking my runs. It seems to calibrate the same as when I was wearing Nike shoes and had the sensor in the sole. This is a great solution for someone that is looking to wear running shoes other than Nike but still track your runs.

    Shine on!

*by B***G on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 29, 2016*

I use this pouch for a product it was not designed for and am very happy with my purchase. This product was not designed for my Misfit Shine. It is a skosh (actual term for measurement:) too small for it, but I bought 3 anyway. It is an extremely tight fit to force the Shine into these pouches, but they work. It should be considered a testament to their quality that they have held up to the abuses I have given them forcing the Shine into them every day. I should warn you, it is tough to force my tracker into this pouch, I have large man paws and really have to work hard to make them fit.The Shine does not count steps well when carried in a pocket, so I bought these little pouches so I could attach them to my shoe, because I can no longer wear any jewelry, watch, necklace, bracelet, etc. at work. This company should just add the required skosh of material and advertise it for Misfits and Fitbits.
