(i.e. foundation)** A: The instructions state to apply this lotion on clean skin before the use of cosmetics... So you can if you wish. The texture and finish after 20 mins can be a little sticky so it may be an ideal base to dab powder foundation over the top and I think it would hold really well - I'm not sure if liquid foundation would mix with it though as it creates waterproof barrier so the liquid foundation might not adhere well **Q: It leaves a very sticky and oily texture on my face, I usually apply 2 big pumps at a time, am i using too much ?** A: Yes. Probably too much. Apply enough to ensure it can be absorbed in the skin but leaves it relatively dry **Q: What's the expiry date or manufacture date?** A: I don't think there is a 'use by' date. I'm currently using some manufactured in 10/2015. Seems OK. **Q: would this be suitable to use as my childs sunscreen?** A: I think the cream itself is something like Factor 90 so yes it would be suitable as a childs sunscreen. I have been using it on my face for a few years as a result of a rogue ulcer being removed. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Serious spf *by A***R on 5 February 2016* Changed to this from obagi matte sunsheild spf 50. I liked obagi because it was very matt but found it clogged my pores as it left residue after washing it off. Actinica isn't mattifying but it doesn't clog pores either. It is easier to wash off compared to the obagi spf. Cannot use this all over the eye area as it stings if it gets into eyes, it also manages to creep into the eyes through the day. Having said all of the bad points there are a few good points about it too... 2 pumps is the dosage needed to adequately cover the whole face and its not a huge amount which is a plus. I just rub it inbetween my hands and press over chin, forehead, cheeks and nose then rub and pat in - I personally can't rub it in for long because it sticks so pressing and patting works better for me. It does sink in slightly after around 30 mins. It's also water resistant. No new clogged pores or spots and had no other skin complaints with it either. Will buy again.
