Review: Excellent, and not just for black limestone - Like others, I was a bit apprehensive about spending so much on one litre of product, but I am pleased that I did. The product was used on our blue/grey limestone paving laid about six months ago. Like most limestone, the colour had begun to fade and we wanted to seal it for two reasons. First to restore the depth of colour and second to provide some level of stain and spillage protection. It's too early to say how it will perform long term, but the application process was easy and the aesthetic transformation is very good. The product is basically a stone oil, and applying sparingly and buffing to remove excess works well. I probably have a third of the bottle left after 35 square metres. Two pieces of advice... Keep a small hand brush with you to get rid of any grit on each slab. This despite having cleaned and swept thoroughly beforehand. Secondly, plan your "route" and don't paint yourself into a corner!

Sooo pleasantly surprised - it covered up previous stains and completely revived the colour to a lovely sharp black rather than faded grey. Really easy to use - recommend a paint roller and a car washing mitt for buffing. The bottle had lasted me two summers and I still have some left over - worth the money when you know it works and it lasts. Highly recommend.

**Q: Can you use this on a slate patio? My patio only looks ok when it rains- rest of the time it’s a dull grey**
A: I really don't know is the honest answer, I have used it on black limestone which had gone very dull and light grey but looked great when wet. This product has made a huge difference and now it looks "wet" all the time. It really does what it says, I was flabbergasted at just how it transformed my patio. The instuctions state made for black limestone but can be used on other tpyes of stone. I suggest contacting the manufacturer direct do see what they say or they may be able to send you a sample to try. £70 plus is an expensive price to pay for something that might not work as it semms to need a stone that it can "soak" into and I am not sure that slate is that pourous.

**Q: I put this on my patio yesterday so its now 24 hours but its still a bit tacky, unfortunately it did rain a bit in the night will this be ok?**
A: It may be OK, depending on whether the Sealer was fully dry prior to being dampened by rain.

**Q: How many years will the effects last for?**
A: About a year since off if one coat. I've just second coated mine. You can still see the difference after a year but it does fade. Plus general dust and leaves etc put a residue on to making it dirty. If you did two coats straight off I think it would last longer but it is an expensive product if you have a large area to cover twice .

**Q: Do you have to use a protector on top**
A: I haven't used anything on top and the colour is the same as when I put it on the patio 4 months ago.

The product does work well on faded black limestone. Takes around 30-40 hours to dry so make sure no rain is forecast. The cap will dry onto the top after first use, meaning pliers will be needed to get it off the next time... Happened on all 3 bottles that I had. The cost does seem rather excessive. Overall though it did what it said it would.
