(I've had guests well over 200 lbs. who've had no issues with stability) -- The table is said to be able to hold 175 Pounds. Sorry-- none of my meals comes close to that, so I'll take them at their word. Here's the twist: After ordering this, I was gifted another dinette that was more modern-looking and had a bar-height tabletop and chairs. That became my dinette. This little cutie is tucked right against the wall in my tiny living room, and I use the under-the-table storage rack to stash my laptop. Ta-Da! It's the perfect size to function as a desk! As a dinette for one or two ~ or (thinking outside the box) as a desk -- I'm very happy with this product and especially love that in a small living room (9X10) that has room for a TV, a small recliner, and a love seat, I have "my little corner" for my "office" space!
