It is light enough to wear comfortably all day, walking around and/or hopping on & off trains and planes. It also held enough clothes, toiletries, electronics, and books for a three-day side trip. The only wear and tear so far is on the webbing trim where the shoulder straps meet the top of the pack, and that’s not really affecting the bag’s structural integrity (although it looks at first like it is).
