Comes with whitening brushes, specially with a chart ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not painful to use, but questionable results *by J***R on June 28, 2023* I ordered the Ectest Teeth Whitening Kit in hopes of brightening my smile. I've whitened my teeth in the past and have always had to suffer through sensitivity after whitening. When I saw that this claimed not to cause sensitivity or burns on the gum line, I was excited to give it a try.My initial impressions were good. I liked that it came with three gel pens for whitening and a chart to measure the brightness of your teeth. The device was a perfect size for me, but I have a large mouth, so it may be too big for some.I did find a lack of instructions to be concerning. It just says to put gel on the teeth and then use the mouthpiece for either 10 or 15 minutes without explaining the difference between the two settings (red or blue light)? It also doesn't say how often to use the kit safely. Is it like whitening strips that need to be used multiple days in a row, or like the kit I got from my dentist that was only safe to use twice in a month? I tried searching for more information extensively without luck. It would be nice to have a definitive set of instructions come in the kit.One note, the power button on the mouthpiece is extremely sensitive and very easy to accidentally turn off with your lips by accident. I'd recommend trying it out before putting the gel on your teeth to make sure you know how to hold your lips while it is on. I found the best results for me were to wear it with the power button on the bottom as my upper lip kept hitting the button.Another note, the clear rubber guard on the device is removable. It wasn't clear to me from the instructions, but it is, which makes it much easier to clean.As far as sensitivity, I've used the kit more than five times now, tried both settings, and even left the gel on for too long when the device's battery died and I didn't notice, and haven't had any sensitivity or gum damage.As for the whitening aspect, the gel seems to work great on recent stains, but I haven't seen any overall increase to the brightness of my smile using the included chart. The only difference that I've seen is the removal of minor stains that are typically removed when I go to the dentist for my regular cleaning.Overall, I'm both happy and disappointed with the kit. I'm happy that the small stains along my gumline could be removed and that there isn't any pain or sensitivity from the gel.
