## Description

Achieve enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. The Bodhi Tree, was a large and very old Sacred Fig tree located in Bodh Gaya, under which Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher later known as Gautama Buddha, is said to have achieved enlightenment, or Bodhi. In religious iconography, the Bodhi tree is recognizable by its heart-shaped leaves, which are usually prominently displayed. In our original hand drawn Super Buddha Bodhi Om Tree, we drew the leaves as highly detailed Oms! This unique design is only available here! The term "Bodhi Tree" is also widely applied to currently existing trees, particularly the Sacred Fig growing at the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, which is a direct descendant planted in 288 BC from the original specimen. This tree is a frequent destination for pilgrims, being the most important of the four main Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Other holy Bodhi trees which have a great significance in the history of Buddhism are the Anandabodhi tree in Sravasti and the Bodhi tree in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Both are believed to have been propagated from the original Bodhi tree.Awaken yourself and others while promoting Bodhi consciousness in this super comfortable, made in the USA, long sleeve thermal.Original print and typography by Super Buddha.

    Unique Design & So Soft!

*by A***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 11, 2014*

As a former Menswear Designer, I am very picky when it comes to construction of a garment and overall quality. Since my daughter owns a few pieces from Super Buddha that she practically lives in, I decided to go ahead and order one of these “Bodhi Om Tree” thermal shirts for my brother in San Diego. I love the unique design on top of the heather grey color and the smaller design in the back gives it a nice detail. I like the fact that this is not a heavy looking garment, but a nice cotton/poly lighter weight waffle textured fabric that is so soft to the touch and looks like it drapes nicely. If you want to own something different that will make you stand out and you appreciate quality original designed garments, than I highly recommend getting a few pieces from this company.
