I work at the Renaissance Festival, and we have to have a head covering of something as part of our uniforms. And I dress as a Norse women with the apron dress, and the shield brooches and all the other accessories. And they didn't really have hats, mostly scarves or veils. And so I chose to get this so I would be able to adjust how much I want to cover and vise versa. I absolutely love it! For me, it's very breathable, plus on hot days I can dunk it in some cool water and wrap it back on head and it instantly cools me off.
