This was not expensive. It fits well, and so far has performed well. This allows me to continue using this ancient (in competent terms anyway) laptop and access some older programs. It is not name-brand but that is not needed; I needed a battery that simply was safe and working. I got both. Thanks! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not quality, but functional *by T***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2022* Got this battery for an old 2008 MacBook Pro that had it's old battery bloat beyond use. Unfortunately these 15" models have trouble starting up on all but the 85w charger without a battery. I checked the health of the battery after charging it for the first time and it had 94% health with one charge cycle. These are probably recycled cells. For a few days and charge cycles it behaved fine, but then began to drop to ~5% from ~40% or just shutting off with no warning.
