Everyday Kitchen Gadgets-Steak Knife Set- Stainless Steel-Straight Edge-Pakkawood Handle

I purchase these knives about a month ago,and at first I love these, was able use them as pear knife and all kinds of stuff in kitchen, blade super sharp, also the company did email me instructions how to keep them sharp,and ask me how I like the knifes, they were very nice looking knifes ,but start to get tiny rust spots as in the pictures,this only having 1 month for them to start appearing, I didnt save the box case they came in and thought would keep these forever,now the company wont email me back and knife supose be stainless steel,and those not supose get rust ,if do buy keep the box they come in.rusting more after 2 months,and still no company email me back on this

My new knives arrived on time and in nice packaging. I am so used to cheap Walmart knives that I wasn’t sure what to expect. The immediate look of the knife was subtle, not overly shined or polished, which indicated right away that these were authentic tools for slicing up some serious meat. After giving one a quick rinse off, I cooked a steak and put it to the test. The absolute best aspect of the knife is the size, followed by balance and sharpness. The knife feels just right in the hand and therefore makes cutting into a steak a simple task. I love my new knives and look forward to using them for years to come.

The blade on these seem perfectly fine - nice actually. But the handle, oh my god. All four of them had big gaps between the metal and the wood with a very abrasive edge on the metal. The pictures don't do it justice, but they all felt like there were tiny saw blades embedded in the front and back of the handles.I pondered returning them, but ended up sanding them all down with a dremel since I didn't see other options for inexpensive steak knives without serrated blades. They felt much more comfortable after that despite there still being a noticeable gap in the handles. I put 3 layers of varnish on after that and now they feel pretty nice.Unless you're up for spending several hours fixing their flaws, I would just avoid buying them.

I was very pleasantly surprised that the 4 knives not only looked good but had a good heft to them and for only under $20. I used one last night on chicken and it was very sharp cutting smoothly with no tearing of the meat.Just got them so I can’t comment on durability or long term reliability but great start!Update: Been using knives for weeks and love them! Very sharp nice clean cuts. I run them over my knife steel every so often to keep them very sharp since they hit plate when eating. Great purchase!

These are high quality knives. They have a rich look, but also a nice weight to them. The edge is sharp with a smooth cut. I sliced a baguette and a fresh-baked loaf of bread, slicing was smooth and swift, no crushing of the bread, no crumbs on the bread board. I've owned other knife sets that did not live up to their claims. When I'm in need of a wedding gift these will be my choice. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

They are not very heavy and I'm not sure about how well they will resharpen. They are sharp out of the box and they seem to be keeping their edge, for now.

This knife set is nice looking and the handle feels good in your hand. I wondered if it would be sharp enough with just a straight cut blade and not serrated but it cuts through things like butter. This is a great knife set for the price. I am glad that I ordered 2 boxes. I would recommend this product.
