I DID NOT HAVE TO SOLDER ANYTHING This set is great, because it comes with several extra just in case I need to fix it again in the future. Review: 10/10 product, 8/10 installation - Tools are great; replacement joysticks feel great and work well (so far). My left joystick cover was torn up and needed to be replaced. The tweezer tool proved to be really effective, and the magnetic screwdriver was handy. The instructions are straightforward, although I also consulted a YouTube video for visual guidance. Used almost everything that came with this product. My two controllers were experiencing the stick drift on the left joystick, very annoying. Had both controllers repaired with these. Make sure to use an electric soldering vaccum pump. I threw a dab of the soldering wire on the tip of the solder, put it over one of the metal terminals and boom, easy! Functionality is great so far, no issues and it feels like the original. Good investment if you know what you're doing, and if you don't, there are quite a few videos for reference.
