Sticks out many inches past the Boston Harbor TL-WK-134E-WH-3L Desk Lamp Swing Arm, that I have hovering over my spider plant. I have tried so many light bulbs for this lamp and they all seem to go out too soon. The GE Lighting 20996 65-Watt R30 Plant Flood Light Bulb only lasted 2 months. This one is so strong it even lights up half the backyard! I'm surprised the cops haven't been called because of nosey neighbors wondering what I'm growing upstairs! Extremely bright & huge; however, is finally a light bulb that can last over a long period of time. Has already lasted 5 months. On all day, everyday. Will order again, no matter how stupid it looks sticking out of the lamp socket.UPDATE: 11/13/2018: I now have gone through 2 of these light bulbs in 2 months. Ordered them a separate times, will NEVER order again. The burn out way too quickly. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Monstrous photography bulbs *by B***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2013* I know. The measurements are in the description. They do not do the size of these justice. These are photography bulbs. Look exactly like the same ones I received when I bought my green screen for youtube videos. I was going to use them in a 25 gallon fish tank terrarium I had. Not. To huge. Also, don't plan on sitting in the same room with these. They are too bright. You may have aircraft landing in your vicinity. I would venture to say they will make excellent grow lights but they would best be suited for lemon or lime trees or something along that nature that are in a basement. Order them but be very aware of the size. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best grow light I've found *by B***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2013* I've bought several different grow lights in the past and this bulb is really the best - best price and my plants are THRIVING. A few years ago I paid 75.00 EACH for 1 bulb (like this but smaller) with 1 metal clamp-on housing. They worked well but were much smaller and a WHOLE lot more money.About a month ago I decided to make one room into a 'plant/relaxation' room so I ordered a few 4 shelf greenhouses, ordered 4 of these bulbs then went to Lowes and bought 12" metal clamp light housings to go with these large bulbs. So for approx. 24 bucks I had the same thing but on a bigger scale then what I paid 75.00 for years ago. Good deal to say the least.Being I like to compare stuff and get the most for my $, I also ordered 1 JSV4 4-foot jump start T-5 grow light system to see which one worked the best. I then tweaked 2 of my greenhouses (put them side by side and cut some of the wire on the shelving so I could have the fixture within the 2 greenhouses) so I could use the JSV4 with them. I then put 2 trays of my little seedlings under the 4 foot system then 2 other seedling trays under these bulbs using 12" metal clamp light housings.I found these bulbs are the ones the seedlings like the best. The 4' system is easier to deal with (once I got it tweaked) and my lettuce is taking off well, it's just that the ones under these lights got bigger and seem stronger then the ones under the 4 foot system. Also - I can only put 2 seedling trays side by side with the 4' system, as the housing is really small whereas these bulbs are LARGE and cover a much larger area.I actually like these ones SO much, I ordered 4 more a couple days ago and got the metal housings yesterday so I can use them right away.Last weekend I also went and found 2 small lime and lemon trees, cut the damaged stuff off, transplanted them, put them under these lights and they are going nuts! 3 days and I have beautiful new leaves and a couple flower heads coming up. I could not be happier with these bulbs. Just fantastic. Low wattage, cooler, seedlings and established plants LOVE THESE, excellent price and this large size with a 12" housing gives a lot of light coverage to a given area. I plan on having produce year round inside, though I found a killer deal on a 10x10 greenhouse I'll be using outside as well. When I lived in Milaca, MN I had greenbeans IN THE WINTER using grow lights inside. Pretty cool when it's -45 outside and you can pick your own produce inside.
