Fortunately, Amazon refunded me so I can buy another model.I have had this item about a month and a half. I like the look of it, and for a while was pretty happy with the function. I usually wake up from the light before the alarm goes off, though I don't leap out of bed ready to take on the world like some reviewers, ha. The sounds are a little cheesy, though my cats like the bird one. The material is cheap plastic that would probably break if dropped, but looks nice enough. Note that it doesn't come with an a/c adapter, just a usb cord.I don't love the touch light function because you have to touch multiple times to change the brightness or to turn the lamp on. The brightest light isn't very bright, either -- just barely enough for me to read by if I'm lying right next to it. It's also very easy for a pet to accidentally turn on or off if they brush against it -- my cats have turned the light on in the middle of the night a couple of times.However, the biggest issue I'm having is that the alarm doesn't always go off! I did have this happen once when I first got the clock, but I figured I must have done something wrong. However, now I've had it for 6 weeks, several times in the past couple of weeks, the alarm never sounded. At first I thought I'd done something wrong, so I've been extremely careful, but I was late to work twice in the past week because it just never went off. I'm a very light sleeper, so there's no way I'm sleeping through it. The light works, but not the alarm, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason, it just sometimes doesn't work.Since it's been over 30 days, I wrote to the seller to see if they would allow me to return or exchange, and if they say no, I'll try Amazon first, then my credit card company; I have no use for an alarm clock that doesn't go off! The light does get pretty bright and it starts to glow 30 minutes before your wake up time. It’s a pretty nice feature. Unfortunately I don’t like any of the sound options. They are way too noisy for me and not very soothing so i just end up turning it off in the morning. I have only had it for 5 months and it started making a weird squeaky sound when I have it plugged in. It freaks me out so I just unplugged it. It’s never been dropped, or messed with so I don’t know why it randomly started making that weird sound. When this works it's pretty good! It's not quite as bright as I would like, but I sleep with it on my bedside table, and its proximity to my head helps. Definitely bright enough to read by if that's something you're interested in. HOWEVER, it's weirdly unreliable. Sometimes it just won't turn on. Sometimes the light will turn on, but the sound never will. I can't figure out if I'm messed with some kind of setting or if it's a flaw in the clock. Annoying.
