Review: Used to manage histamine intolerance/MCAS - Product is really good, no problems. Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) is rare, but no joke if you have this autoimmune condition. Since these block H2 histamine receptors, they seem to reduce the havoc wrought by excess histamine in the gut. My histamine responses are seriously dialed down with famotidine. It has been a big relief. Ranitodine works as well, but is off the market right now. I am not sure how well cimetidine (Tagamet) works, but chemically it is pretty similar. Proton pump ulcer medicines don't work for MCAS.

We were happy to find a medication made in the USA. However, we were very disappointed to notice on the bottles that these are best used by January 2026. That’s not a very long time considering we purchased 250 pills. We’d expect a longer shelf life!
