The trick is to use hot water as recommended by the manufacturer to soften the tubing. Without doing that, it would be very difficult to fit the tubing onto the connectors.Setting the timer is easy and you can customize it to fit your needs. I used this in my small greenhouse while on vacation. All the plants were in fine shape upon my return. It is definitely worth getting. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Product but Better Yet: Excellent Customer Service *by O***A on February 9, 2024* Though I was planning to use this device using mainly an AC adapter with the USB cable provided, I needed to use batteries to keep the programming in its memory in case of power outages (which happen now and then in our area of the country). To my disappointment, my newly purchased Moistenland unit was not detecting batteries and did not function at all when the AC adapter was not connected. That is when I contacted Moistenland customer support. They immediately shipped me a replacement unit that arrived very quickly and did not have any issues at all. I found the product to be simple to setup and to use. Some people find it difficult to connect the lines to the various connectors. I used a heat gun to soften the ends of the lines prior to connecting them and that made the operation very easy. A hair dryer would work as well. The in-line with its filter tends to float, which may lead to pumping air instead of water. I prevented that possibility by attaching a fishing weight to the top of the filter. The in-line now remains consistently at the bottom of the water reservoir. Though I was initially disappointed with the original defective unit, the response that I received from Moistenland's customer support team more than made up for the initial inconvenience. I am very happy with my purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a excellent product, with a couple opportunities to get better. *by J***S on November 5, 2024* This purchase is for my second one. I have the older model and I can say this one is an improvement. I needed a second one because we expanded from just starting seeds in the winter to also bringing in some of the garden plants to be sure they survive the winter. To start, this model is a very nice upgrade from the older version. Both work well, but this model is much simpler to set up and get working.I now have two of these getting water from one 5 gallon bucket.Programming is easy. Getting the clock and scheduler set up takes less than 2 minutes. It has a battery backup so things stay on schedule in case of a power outage. This is teally nice when you are on vacation. While I think this is a great product, there are two things that they could do better.First is they don't include a power supply. They give you a USB cable and that's all. I can't imagine anyone being ok with getting this and finding out you need to purchase a 5v 1 amp supply just to get it to work. Sad.Second is the drip devices. These work well, but they are a bit limited. They are basically strips you stick in the dirt and connect the water tube to. However, the expectation is that every plant needs the exact same amount of water. You can't adjust them. You can add a second or more drip lines, but that just complicates things.Even with these issues I still think this is an excellent product.First, know you need to buy a 5v 1amp USB plug, but you may already have a spare in a drawer somewhere.Second is you should purchase a separate set of watering posts. I found a set that use the same 1/4 inch line. They have a knob to let you adjust how much water each plant gets. This is much smarter, and I hope they add this to this product soon.Again, I have no regrets and if I ever need a third unit, or a replacement, I'd get another one of these. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/549169471-automatic-drip-irrigation-kit-15-potted-indoor-houseplants-support-indoor](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/549169471-automatic-drip-irrigation-kit-15-potted-indoor-houseplants-support-indoor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
