If you see blue die in the bowl without flushing, then there is a leak from the tank to the bowl. If the area to be tested for the source of a leak is say under a kitchen sink that has multiple other leak sources (water purification, hot & cold inflow, dishwasher etc) then after drying the area to be tested under the sink, turn off all other sources of water and place the blue dye into one sink and see if any blue dye shows up under the sink, then you have your answer. **Q: Can you use them outside to trace water from under a slab?** A: Hi Catherine, This tablets are designed to work best with toilets, so they may not be ideal for a slab, which, if we understand your situation correctly, involves more water.
