I bought this 5L Castrol EDGE 5W-40 for an oil change and chose it because I wanted a reputable fully synthetic oil rather than going for a random cheaper brand. The bottle is easy to handle and pour from, and the oil itself gives confidence because Castrol is a well-known brand used by a lot of car owners and I have been using it for years also. After changing the oil, the engine felt smooth at idle and on normal driving. I obviously can’t judge long-term wear protection from one oil change, but so far it has done exactly what I bought it for.
