I love this!
Like so many others on here I went for a Tefal machine as my Morphy Richards suddenly stopped working the other day mid-way through the soup cycle, just stopped. I decided to spend a bit more on Any Other Make, this Tefal model had good reviews so I went for it. Not only is it less cumbersome on my worktop, it is so much quieter. The MR model used to make me jump, the noise it generated on and off was extreme. This Tefal model is much quieter, the soup is lovely and (big important AND) it is self-cleaning. What's not to like. I've only had it a few weeks but think it far superior to the MR in every way.

Done just the job
Ive wanted a soup maker for a long time and this definitely has not disappointed. It is easy to use and clean, quick and produces a lovely smooth soup. It also keeps the soup warm for a long period of time after the cycle has finished.I would definitely recommend.

If you buy one kitchen gadget this year, make it this one.
Purchased as a gift for a relative who is really into making soups and cold smoothies. I researched soup makers on the Which web site and this came top for the price range I was considering. Would recommend reading the safety operating instructions (about 5 pages) before using. Allows users to make smooth or chunky soup plus smoothies and also has an easy cleaning mode. This soup maker is really easy to use, makes soup making virtually hassle free. Unfortunately you still need to peel and chop the raw ingredients but once everything is in the soup maker, you can turn the switch on and get on with other things whilst the gadget works its magic. End result is just fantastic tasty 😋 soups! Booklet containing soup recipes could have done with more entries / suggestions for novice cooks but apart from this, I have no complaints - 4.5 stars.

This is a must buy!
This is hands down the best gadget I’ve ever bought for my kitchen! Literally add half your stock, chop up your veg, chuck it all in, add the rest of the stock, turn it on and 23 minutes later you have a lovely soup! It is so quiet too. The instructions include a few recipe ideas which are a good starting point but I now just add whatever I fancy with a stock cube and water. I’m on “slimming world” and I find this a fantastic way of getting my speed food in. Would recommend this product to anyone. Oh on a last note, the soup stays hot for around an hour too.

5 Stars
Very easy to use, and not too big and clunky that it hogs countertop space. As it says on instructions, keep the chopped veg under 2cm, or it won’t chop it when it’s “ souping” I made the mistake with cabbage, but all in all, a very good soup maker, not heavy and only 4 buttons so easy to use. Good for luddites and anyone who can’t lift heavy kitchenware. Also a nice brushed chrome finish.

Makes wonderful soups and smoothies
I’ve used this for making several different types of soup and smoothies and it has worked very well indeed. I found that I needed to rinse it out with hot water and a dash of washing up liquid before putting on the cleaning programme. You also have to make sure the top of the spindle part of the blade section as it gets caked up with whatever you have just blended. I sauté onions, leeks etc before putting them into the machine as it doesn’t have a sauté function and I don’t fancy the taste of boiled onion. Overall a brilliant gadget that I’m going to use a lot.

An excellent and simple to use appliance
Excellent piece of kitchen kit, so simple to operate Never had so many bowls of soup!! Hasn't come out at breakfast yet but there's always time!!Only gripe and it is a minor one, it's a pity the did not have a spout for pouring contents, can be a little hazardous when contents are very hot.It is also excellent for making cold smoothies.

Machine died on only second use
I treated myself to this soup maker for Christmas. It looks good, and seemed well made. My first batch of chunky soup was absolutely fine, and the cleaning cycle worked as promised. However, my second use was a few days later, and I wanted a smooth soup. All went well at first, but it failed on the blending cycle. It did one blend, then paused and started to blend again, but almost immediately it stopped completely and I realised my house electrics weren't working. The lighting circuit was ok, but nothing else, and the circuit breaker on the consumer unit had been tripped. As I live alone and know nothing about wiring I decided it was safest not to try again, so will sadly return it. I know this problem has been reported with another well known brand, which is why I chose a Tefal, but it seems I chose wrongly. I am now not sure whether to replace it with the same, try another make, or just take my refund and forget about soup makers. I am very disappointed.
