**Q: Can a 2 in thick binder fit easily in the backpack?**
A: Yes.

**Q: how am i supposed to wash the backpack if it's water proof?**
A: It being waterproof means that if you spill water on the outside it won’t soak through get your stuff wet inside the bag. It can be washed regularly.

**Q: can you iron on patches?**
A: I have not attempted but the fabric is some sort of polyester and it’s pretty slick. I’d be a little nervous the iron would melt the fabric or the patch may not stay stuck. My daughters bag did rip after a month but up at the handle so a patch will probably not be an appropriate solution.

A: Yes, it is machine washable
