Review: Very useful - This is great and very useful in a variety of ways, perfect when cooking for just one.
Review: Great little grill dish - I wanted a small dish to grill individual burgers or a couple of sausages etc and I prefer cast iron to coated non-stick pans. This one is great at this price and the wooden serving tray is just a handy bonus as a pot stand for use straight out of the oven. I really don't understand the numerous reviews for many cast iron pans that talk about rust or discolouration or food sticking...as long as you do the following: 1. season it well before first use 2. let it cool after cooking in it, and then clean it using just hot water and a steel (or similarly tough) scourer (no soap!) and definitely don't put in a dishwasher 3. make sure it's fully dry straight away...don't let it sit in a dish rack 4. do not cook acidic foods like tomatoes or vinegar in it (it will remove the seasoning) 5. wipe a little vegetable oil over the full cooking surface with a paper towel. Following these simple rules I've never had to re-season a pan and all my cast iron pans (and carbon steel ones) are more non-stick than teflon. The more you use them the more non-stick they become!

**Q: Does this rust?**
A: Normal care for cast iron cookware will keep this effectively rust free. Once washed it should be wiped down with a small amount of vegetable oil and then baked in the oven. This will keep it in perfect condition. Even if some rust does appear give it a scrub with a washing pad and do the oil bake.

**Q: Is this oven compatible?**
A: The dish only can go into an oven up to 240oC

These are far smaller than the pictures lead you to believe, however, the dimensions of 16 x 11cm are correct for the top edge of the dish. The instructions that come in the box say they are not suitable for dishwashers which contradicts the content of the advert. Also I can barely get my fingers under the wooden board, no hope with oven gloves. I will use them for something other than their intended use so will not return them. If you're looking to use these as a single serving per person as a main dish they are too small.
