Fan noise is greater than I'd hoped, but unit is not excessively noisy. Blue LED base light is a cool effect and the extra USB port is an essential feature since the base utilizes one laptop USM to power the fan and light. My only real complaint is that the fold-out rear "legs" collapse easily. A better design would have them "lock" open and/or closed so that they don't become a hassle. I like the extra elevation they provide. Just don't press the bottom fan portion, as that's where the plastic is thinnest, and it causes an immediate clicking from said fan. Aside from that? All good.
