Previously I'd bought a cheaper generic SN-28B tool but even when using the correct connections the crimps I was making were failing and not formed correctly so I was wasting a lot of connectors. Buy cheap buy twice I guess. I've had IWISS tools in the past and initially missed this one when buying the SN-28B but gave it a go as the previous tool wasn't very good. Immediately the same set of non-insulated connectors I've been using are formed better on both the bit holding the cable insulation and the smaller part crimping the wire and most importantly aren't failing in the pull test or giving me random continuity problems. There's a bit too much wire in the cable in the pictures and I've also shown the size next to a pen - these are little so just a mm too long makes quite a difference! You also get some good instructions with these whereas a lot of crimpers you'll be left to your own devices to work it out (although they all have their own pitfalls, it just takes time to get used to each set). For me definitely worth paying that little extra over the generic crimpers if you value your time - these aren't as expensive as proper Molex crimps but still seem to do a more than good enough job. They become more soft and rubbery, therefore less likely to fracture into pieces like hard, fresh carrots. YMMV. What really "cinched" it for me, though, is the orange crimper handles. They hide carrot juice stains much better than some of the lighter-colored crimpers I've tried. I don't recommend this model for grapes. **Q: Will it crimp molex .062 terminals ?** A: I am not 100% certain. If the wire gauge is within the range of the crimper, (Molex .062 are 18-30 gauge) it should crimp them well. The design of the molex terminals is very similar to what I had to crimp and I had excellent results. **Q: Will this crimper work with the jst- rcy connector?** A: Yes. **Q: Can you please tell me the difference between your sn-01bm and the sn-28b? i'm looking to crimp: "xh 2.5 eh connector 2.54mm 2-pin jst plug".** A: The 01bm has a thinner cross section than the 28b and it's compatible with some connectors that the 28 will crush. Was really surprised with the quality. Solid feeling, smooth operation and ratcheting that helps to hold the pin firm whilst you insert the wire and then crimps perfectly without crushing. Not much more to say really...does the job, makes the job easy and is built to last.
