Just before I received this she swallowed a 1.5 inch bit of pizzle stick (I couldn't get it off her) and I had the worry about whether it would come out the other end or cause an obstruction. Fortunately all was well. Holds the pizzle stick really firmly and you can then take it away when it gets down to the last bit. Held in the same way as a vice. A fabulous product. Given me piece of mind. Pizzle sticks are great for keeping a puppy/dog occupied for a while.

I have been worried about my puppy swallowing the last bit of a chew stick whole and choking. This is an amazing gadget that holds the chew firmly in place with the added benefit that my pup can hold thinner chews upright by placing a paw on each side of the holder. It won't hold her wide yak chews but is great for chew sticks and the holder can accommodate quite thick chews. Very easy to wash. I always supervise when she has chews but big pieces can be swallowed very quickly so I feel I am definitely keeping her as safe as I can.
