So, I have boulders lined up along the edge of my front yard to discourage dogs, which helps a lot, but not right next to the corners of the driveway. This is where they all go potty. These people don't even care that there are security cameras staring them right in the face. Anyway, best solution I had found was hot chili powder which DOES work, but it is problematic to spread around and washes away easily, and in the desert sun doesn't stay potent very long. Not to mention on gravel it's bright red so attracts unwanted attention. So tried this product, spread it around last night and this morning when the neighbor who purposely uses my yard as a potty came out to let all three of his dogs go there, they wouldn't. And to my surprise they would not even walk on the gravel! And this neighbor actually took his three dogs out three different times this morning to try to get them to go there. So, I'd say this was a success. I live in the desert, front yard is all gravel, no idea if this product works any less well on grass or other vegetation. Will update review after have used it for a while, but initial impression after first application is WOW... those three dogs are the worst offenders and they wouldn't even walk on the gravel. Amazing. Results will vary for everyone, I'm sure. In my photo you can see the corners of my driveway where I applied the granules, and also the offending neighbor on the way back from an unsuccessful potty outing, lol... UPDATE - this was too funny not to share. Added a video to this review. The offending neighbor still walks his dogs right across the street to my yard so his dogs can go potty. Think he knows by now I put down a new repellent. They pass up my yard, again, and in the video you can see they go right into my neighbor's yard. It works well with deer and rabbit. **Q: Is this your best product to rid the yard of 5 feral cats** A: Yes very effective. I had the same ferel problem. You may have to reapply within a week or two of the first app. But then good for a long time. Pricey for the quantity but works. **Q: Will it keep my dog from urinating in the center of my lawn? Does it burn grass?** A: It will not work for keeping your dog from urinating on your grass. I have not used the ganular on grass, but it should be okay if you follow the instructions. **Q: I have voles really bad in my yard. Noticed just this morning they ate the roots off my knockout roses. Will this work on roses already planted?** A: Repellex makes several products. The systemic product takes time to absorb into the plant and to become effective. Repellex mole and volé can be applied to work immediately to chase these critters away. If you buy the product. Both are effective. Use cloves do not get this on your skin it is pepper a very hot pepper. The phone number on the container will put you in contact with customer service. Very knowledgeable people. I know as a fact because one year I ran out of the product and thought I'd just treat the plants on the edges and they'd take one bite and go elsewhere. The buggers just left the edge plants and ate the untreated ones in the center. The only problems are since it makes the plant taste bad, timing of the application is tricky. And it is quite pricy. But, I have dozens of beautiful hosta and this really helps keep they from becoming part of the salad bar. FYI, I also use fishing line mounted at about chest height on the deer. They bump into it, and decide to go to the neighbors. Also a couple smelly repellant products to cover the period until these granules are absorbed.
