The V4 has 30 percent more power over the Tech 3 model. is the bigger brother of the Tech 4 E4. The E4 and the V4 are very similar, although the V4 has a bigger caliper with more heat-dissipating qualities and a larger piston design offering 10% more power. It has a durable construction, with the caliper being made of a one-piece, CNC-machined aluminum alloy, and the lever is also aluminum. The lever features a tool-free reach adjustment and a bite point adjustment, so we can get the perfect lever feel and pad contact for our riding style. The lever is compatible with shifter standards for seamless integration, and the improved lever shape provides a more ergonomic shape to help with braking. The Tech 4 V4 has a hybrid piston design for smoother movement and less maintenance, and a phenolic insert helps to dissipate heat on long descents. ## Features - Enhanced braking power with a 30% increase over previous Tech 3 models, delivering reliable, high-performance stopping in all trail and downhill scenarios. - Constructed from precision CNC-machined aluminum forged billet, combining lightweight performance with exceptional durability and strength for aggressive riding conditions. - Advanced internal sealing and roller bearing pivot design significantly reduce friction and leverage hybrid-style stainless steel pistons with phenolic inserts, ensuring smooth operation and excellent heat management during long, technical descents. - Designed for rider customization with genuine bite point and reach adjustments that are tool-free, along with hinged clamps for easy installation and maintenance on both SRAM and EV shifters. - Versatile post-mount hydraulic disc brake system compatible with 3.3mm thick rotors (sold separately), ideal for mountain biking, enduro, and gravity-focused applications, offering superior modulation and control. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09KDJBDBS | | Age range | Adult | | Brand | Hope | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars (5) | | Date First Available | 31 May 2023 | | Department | Unisex | | Features | Ergonomic | | Guaranteed software updates until | unknown | | Hand orientation | Ambidextrous | | Handle type | Lever | | Height | 3 inches | | Included components | Disc Brake & Lever | | Item display length | 9 inches | | Item display width | 9 inches | | Item model number | Hope | | Manufacturer | Hope | | Material type | Multi | | Number of items | 1 | | Number of pieces | 1 | | Power source | Manual | | Size | Front | | Style | Disc Brake & Lever | | Weight | 522 g | ## Images ![Hope Tech 4 V4 Disc Brake Standard Hose Black/Black L/H, Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51SaiKPQxTL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - HOPE Tech 4 V4 Disc Brake and Lever Set - HOPE Easy Brake Bleed Kit - Tech 4 - HOPE Tech 4 E4 Disc Brake and Lever Set --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/555161029-hope-tech-4-v4-disc-brake-standard-hose-black-black](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/555161029-hope-tech-4-v4-disc-brake-standard-hose-black-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
