The back tab is not only velcro-adjustable, it's alwo got strectch bands attaching the velcro to the hat, so it's comfortable always. The only thing that I don't like about this hat is that the visor is segmented into 3 parts. While that makes it easy to fold the hat and fit it into the carrying case, it feels a little awkward at first. It may just be something that I'll get used to over time, but at first the view from under the visor seems a bit odd. That said, I do really like the mesh inserts, they do help keep my head cool.
