Of course I put a green ink into a Transparent Green Pen, and I picked up J. Herbin Vert de Gris—a lovely ink and it flows flawlessly from the Asvine's stainless steel, surprisingly bouncy nib. I bought the Fine nib and it's a smooth writer with a little flex to it, and the feed is juicy enough to cope with laying down a nice amount of ink to show of the shading of the ink I chose without skipping, and not once has this pen failed to start first time even after more than a few days idle.I really can't recommend this pen highly enough, especially if you've been looking at the V800 as well and consider it to be a bit too girthy—the V126 seems identical but slimmer and possessing a #6 Nib instead of the whopping #8. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Pilot Custom 823 homage pen *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 September 2026* I now have 4 of these pens in different nib sizes, and they are all absolutely superb. They easily rival my Pilot Custom 823 in functionality, aesthetics, and reliability. This EF nib is silky smooth and has a perfect ink flow, making it versatile enough to be used in a Hobonichi grid planner or on a standard piece of A4 printer paper. If you cannot afford to pay for a high quality Japanese pen with a gold nib, then this pen with a steel medium nib is a surprisingly good little pen. So far it has written smoothly out of the box, hasn't required any minor tuning, and with what I consider is just the right amount of feedback from the nib on paper. Buy and enjoy..December update.. having written quite a bit now,and only having to floss the nib, the factory nib is well tuned, juicy wet and smooth. Feedback can be on the toothy side, but that is mainly down to the paper not the nib. And in comparison to my 2 gold nib pens. A pilot custom 92 medium, and an platinum 3776 broad, this asvine is really worth buying.
