That was key. My mom has 2 compression fractures in her thoracic (mid-area) spine. Not critical enough to take her to the emergency room over the holidays, but almost impossible to get a quick appointment because of the holidays!She still wanted to use her computer and move around, but we were both afraid of her bending and twisting. This really solved the problem. The two metal strips hugged each side of her spine perfectly, giving her support and confidence. We ordered the XL (she's a 16w-18w), and it was almost too small but since it needed to be "snug" it turned out to be the right size. She complained that the shoulder straps were too tight at first, but that was my fault.Having said all that, I read in a review that one should start wearing it only 20 minutes at a time and then rest. Ah, the best laid plans...She refused to take it off and wore it for almost 2 hours the second time she put it on. The next morning, boy were her shoulders SORE. So yes - START SLOWLY!!!This product has been a godsend as we wait to see what our next steps are in the spine saga, but I won't be posting any photos under pain of death. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Wrong sizing but adequate working. *by M***O on July 11, 2018* Sizing was wrong. Medium size was too big. Would probably fit 29 inches or more.I tightened the shoulder straps to compensate for the loose stomach area, it worked from the top of the belt and there was still some slack on the bottom. The belt made it difficult to breathe too.It did correct the posture for the shoulders and to a great extent it straightened the back. There was still some slouching in the upper back area. I suggest also doing core strengthening exercises to help retain the correct posture and strengthen the muscles.I returned the product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brace fits well *by C***I on January 22, 2018* My daughter needed this brace due to back pain from Scoliosis, and she loves this brace.
