I previously bought another type that is like a ball at the end of a stick but found that the holes were too big for the finely chopped herb teas I drink, like yerba mate and rooibos. The holes on this one are very tiny. I like the design, which can be used in a mug or a pot. The cover keeps the heat in as it brews and can be used after to hold the steeper when you remove it. This is exactly what i was looking for BUT there is ONE PROBLEM which ill mention in my review. This is a nice large infuser. Used this infuser with the "hey girl" cleanse for digestion & bloating loose leaf tea from desertcart and at first I thought it filtered it throughly until i looked at the bottom of my cup and unfortunately I see a bunch of loose tea grounds floating at the bottom of my drink. It filtered everything out except small loose tea particles but large enough that i would know its in my mouth when drinking it. So that disappointed me. I thought the tiny holes would be small enough to keep anything from going through it but i guess i was wrong. I will likely be keeping it to try it with other loose leaf teas and see how it works but will probably be looking for a box of disposable tea filter bags with the string that are "bleach free". One thing i cant stand is things floating in my tea. Another reason I wanted to switch to loose tea instead of purchasing the bags is ive gotten a nasty mouthful of tea grounds in my mouth when taking a drink due to a tea bag bursting inside my coffee tumbler without my knowledge. I mean I had basically half the tea bags contents in my mouth! Yuck 🤮 Will be on the hunt to find a infuser and filter that work better. For context the debloat and digestion tea is used suggested to use 1 heaping Teaspoon.
