Just to clear up any confusion.The Orion StarShoot Eyepiece camera will fit on the PowerSeeker 50 by unscrewing the outer 1.25" barrel of the camera from the .96" barrel inside and mounting it into the telescope's focuser without the star diagonal in place.Keep in mind that the PowerSeeker 50 telescope is not really meant for astrophotography and your results will reflect that. **Q: Will this work well to see and capture images of Jupiter and Saturn?** A: hello, yes BUT....if you look in my review you should see images of saturn taken with this camera. I have taken some of jupiter as well. At first i was pleased with those results, but you will really need a 2x barlow (or more depending on your focal length, with this camera to get good photographic results if you intend on stacking and processing the frames. I used it for a while, but eventually bought a NexImage 5 and even though it's a little more than twice the cost, the results out of the box are much better. Also second the J. Busse on it will depend on your optics. My results with Celestron 9.25 inch SCT **Q: is this item supported by window 10** A: I have it working on my laptop with Win 10 64 bit OS. I set the compatibility settings to Win XP / service pack 2, and set to run as administrator. Choose altair camera, make sure you have preview checked and then follow instructs on how to adjust. **Q: How would i install this on a mac? if installation is even needed? if not, then what do i do to set it up when i plug it in?** A: Orion's website states it is compatible with windows 7/8. It has been a long time since I used this camera but I had to install the stacking software on my PC (non-mac) and getting the camera to work was a lengthy process as the best concise response I can offer. I have since looked at the moon and was shocked at the detail I was getting. When I first used this camera I fitted a 2x Barlow and could not focus on the object I aimed at, when I removed the Barlow lens I got a fantastic picture of the moon. When looking at the moon with a 20 mm lens you get a full moon view, but when I inserted the camera I got the bottom quarter of the moon complete with craters. Amazing. I just need to get the focus right for an even better picture.
