Was pleasantly surprised by how thin and minimal this case actually is, but somehow still feeling like it could withstand a drop or two. I have the transparent frosted back version and I was worried that it would be slippery, but in fact it's quite grippy, so all in all - in terms of how it feels in the hand, this is exactly what I wanted.Deducting one star because the frosted back already got scratched and it shows up easily so that's a bit of a let down, but seriously, in terms of how it feels in your hand and in your pocket, if you're looking for something minimal while still offering some protection, you can't go wrong with this, and it looks awesome.

i got the "black" version, which is actually a translucent back with a dark gray matte edge. it's very slim, and matches the iphone 8 aesthetic fairly well considering it is a case. after 3 months the case has minimal visible wear, and the phone has survived being dropped 5-10 times.

The case looks nice with the clear frosted back and black edge, but I was hoping for a better grippy feel.  On the back, the edge and back are flush, and the clear back is a flimsy plastic.  The grip is only a little better than the phone by itself.  The edge band has only a slightly better grip.  I can't speak to the durability, since I just got it.  Not impressed so far though.
