incredible album though only flaw is the backwards track does not make sense on the cd as its unlistenable

Hach. Über "Waiting for Morning to come" könnte man stundenlang schwärmen."Thorns" wurde released (oder es war glaub "Dissolve") und ich war hin und weg. Jedes neue Lied riss mich mehr in den Bann und ich kann den Jungs nicht genug dafür gratulieren, ebenso wie Callejon dieses Jahr den mutigen Schritt gegangen zu sein und Kunst zu zelebrieren und nicht stumpfen Fanboyträumen hinterher zu rennen, die ggf. den ruhigen und fast schon minimalistischen Charakter solcher Musik nicht zu schätzen wissen.Aber das Wagnis hat sich gelohnt. Ein Blick auf das stimmige Cover verrät dem geneigten Hörer alles, was es über das Album zu sagen gibt. Atmosphäre und Melancholie bestimmen das Klangbild und am besten eignet sich das gute Stück wahrlich für nächtliche Stunden. Es gibt zwar sowohl emotionale als auch musikalische Ausbrecher in härtere Gefilde, die als passender Kontrast zum Rest fungieren, aber es schlägt fast nie einen ganzen Song lang über in flachen Core. Jeder Akzent in Musik und Gesang dient der Vermittlung des lyrischen Inhalts und hier ist es, wo das Album durch und durch triumphiert. Essays könnten geschrieben werden, aber ich fasse es kürzer: Dieses Album ist nicht nur gut, es ist verfickt nochmal WICHTIG. In einem Jahr, in dem Fremdenhass, rückständige Ideologien, Sexismus und co. leider Wellen geschlagen haben, die immer besorgniserregender werden, kann man Songs über Nächstenliebe, Empathie und Hoffnung nicht hoch genug anpreisen. Dazu kommt noch eine passende Produktion, die genug Spielraum für Dynamik lässt und trotzdem auch auf der Tanzfläche für den nötigen Druck sorgt. Also auch hier punktet die Platte.Wenn ich einen Minuspunkt ausmachen MÜSSTE, dann wäre das glaub höchstens der rückwärts abgespielte Track, da der die Platte nicht wirklich bereichert, aber selbst dieser passt insgesamt zur Atmosphäre.Wie man merkt bin ich dezent begeistert.
