It is made of polyethylene for resistance to corrosion and to deterioration from sunlight, is molded in one piece to resist leakage, and has 1/4"-20 female threads. It is intended for use with 3/8" to 1" inlet float valves and 1/4"-20 threaded rods (sold separately). As part of a float valve installation, it is suitable for use in a variety of applications, such as fountains, livestock water tanks, and chemical manufacturing plants.Float valves use a rod and float ball attached to a valve shutoff lever to control flow in or out of a tank.
